Welcome!!

Tori Tremble, Olivia Schumann, Kayleigh Macchirole, and Lauren Woodhull teamed up to set the indoor school record in the 4x400 and 4x200 meters. This is a picture after they cut seven seconds off the school record at nationals and ran a 4:05.50.

Three pose for the picture while Lauren Woodhull becomes camera shy. The girls ran an extremely respectable 4:04 while competing against some of the fastest girls in the country, as well as some of the fastest girls from Jamaica.

Although only 14, Meg put in a ton of work in the lonely off season (no Cross Country for the Mercy Girls or Boys) and quickly became a leader on the team through her performances. Three School records later, she looks forward to a big outdoor season and hopefully a trip to states.

Sasa Vann had a remarkable indoor track season in the winter of 2011-2012. She became the first Mercy female athlete to break 43 seconds in the 300 meter dash in December. She then became the first Mercy athlete to break 42 seconds in the 300m when she ran a 41.95 at the Stanner Games. Sasa would also hold the school record in the 400 indoors if it was a NYS event. She earned All State by being on the bronze medal Intersectional Relay.

Senior Brian Merle hands off to another sophomore Elijah "Cheetos" Louis in a 4x400 relay at the League Championships.

Olivia Schumann, primarily a 400m Hurdler is shown here winning a shorter sprint to help out the Monarchs keep their League Championship streak alive against Mercy's biggest rival Port Jefferson

The school that makes this website possible. Bishop Mcgann Mercy HS

Sophomore Carrie Gehring who most likely was just let out of running an event longer than seven meters, smiles and escapes before Coach Nunez and Hartman change their mind. People wonder why the Mercy Girls have been successful in recent years. My opinion, its faces like this that strike fear into the hearts of opponents that give them the edge.

The girls line up for an early season dual meet race. Senior Captain Lauren Valle most likely was promised some sort of baked good after the race. Her face shows the maximum amount of elation a young girl can portray at any time. What a competitor!

Track newbie Brian Willett running an 800 at the beginning of the season. In his first race over the distance ever, he showed lots of potential. However, clearly, his form needs a little work, as do his race tactics. Hopefully this is Brian's only loss at a dual meet.
